The fifth and final round of the Mauritius Nitro On-road Championship was held at the Winnerâ™s Speedway and organized by the Mighty Model Club. In the 1/10 GP, Clarel Lacour took the TQ and he looked good for the win with his early pace as he was the only driver to complete 19laps during qualifications. In the Final, Giovanni Arekion jumped into the lead at the start followed by Clarel Lacour, John Allas and the rookie Olivier Lebon. John Allas and Olivier Lebon did not have the pace to match with Giovanni and Clarel as they went for a different tire strategy. Giovanni and Clarel have shown some great and clean battles throughout the 30mins final and Clarel Lacour took the win on the last lap from Giovanni Arekion followed by John Allas.
It is John Allas who won the 1/10 GP Mauritius Championship title followed by Clarel Lacour and Giovanni Arekion. It is the first time we had a National Championship in Mauritius and proudly organized by the Mighty Model Club.

Clarel Lacour: âžI have been in RC racing for more than 9 years now and I am really impressed with the feeling of my NT1 2015. I had to do some setup changes to be able to match the driverâ™s performances this time. Winning is always good but I will have to push harder in next year's championship."
Olivier Lebon who is in his first year has this to say: âžI am very proud of my performance for my first participation in rc racing. My result today is mainly due to the reliability of my car and the online support available in terms of setup from the Xray Team. I will be looking forward to improve from this result and hope for more podium finishes next year."
